Message from a 2005 student:

I´m thinking so often about you, the workshop and what you taught us, so I wanted to write you. Now almost two weeks have passed and I more and more realize that  you / the workshop / I changed my point of view on many things in acting and life in so many good ways! You opened spaces (or better, you showed me how to open spaces) in me, that I thought were lost, and that I already forgot... and it´s wonderful.

Thank you so much for who you are and what you do!

  Michael's philosophy:

Acting, as a topic, is enormous and complex, with much confusion taking place due to the availability of so many choices. For example, we can take any one part of the topic of acting and expand it to create an entire philosophy, and it will work. In these workshops we focus on creating a foundation that is based on basics and fundamentals. There are no tricks and secrets. We are dealing with reality, and require a conscious technique that can be mastered through repetition. Through the rituals of sense memory we learn about our life rituals; and through an understanding of how the mind works we find the motivating forces of all human beings, ourselves and of the characters we portray. In these workshops you will become empowered because you will identify the obstacles that prevent you from achieving your goals, both creative and professional. You will be assisted in troubleshooting specific acting problems and in identifying your individual strengths. The mask of self consciousness will fall away and you will laugh, cry and discover gold - your own inner truth. In the end your objective will be to live a life filled with unlimited possibilities; a life of fulfillment; a life of joy; a life of meaning; a life in which you will know that you have given your all and been your best.
